Ontarians Get the Green Light for 700 Rooftop Solar ProjectsDecember 16, 2009Seven hundred Ontarians have been approved by the new Ontario microFIT program to have rooftop solar panels installed on their properties. The overwhelming popularity of this program has the OPA receiving more than 2,200 applications, with the majority being for residential rooftop solar power systems. The microFIT program is a part of the Green Energy Act and is part of the province’s commitment to eliminate coal-fired generation by the end of 2014.
